The mission of the Division of Health Care Finance and Policy is to improve the delivery and financing of health care by providing information, developing policies, and promoting efficiencies that benefit the people of the Commonwealth. Key Indicators provides an overview of the Massachusetts health care landscape through data reported by providers, health plans, government, and through surveys of Massachusetts residents and employers.

The Division of Health Care Finance and Policy is pleased to release the state's fifth annual report identifying employers with 50 or more employees using publicly-funded health insurance programs. The report reflects employee use of MassHealth, Commonwealth Care, and the Uncompensated Care Pool/Health Safety Net during state Fiscal Year 2008.

The Division of Health Care Finance and Policy is pleased to release additional publications based on estimates from the 2008 Massachusetts Health Insurance Survey. Access to Health Care in Massachusetts: Estimates from the 2008 Massachusetts Health Insurance Survey is a chartbook which presents findings on access to care for Massachusetts residents including source of care, doctor office visits, emergency room visits, and barriers to care.
