McCormack Building Elevator Modernization Project
The Bureau of State Office Buildings (BSB) & the Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) are in the process of upgrading Garage, Service, Passenger Elevators and Escalators in the McCormack Building. This project will take place in phases starting in December, 2008 over an estimated 36 months to completion.
We encourage all building occupants to use the stairways, whenever possible, to alleviate elevator traffic.

Modernization Has Commenced
The Elevator modernization project has begun as scheduled. Walls have gone up around the entrances to Elevator 1 on the lower tower, Elevator 7 on the upper tower and one of the Freight Elevators (Elevator 13). This means that anyone wishing to gain access to the 22nd Floor storage area must do so by using the stairs from the 21st floor.
