The Division of Capital Asset Management (DCAM) is committed to diversity in its workforce of dedicated professionals, and to providing opportunities to minority and women business enterprises in support of our agency's mission.

DCAM's Scope of Services include: Planning, Design, Construction, Capital Repairs & Improvements, Asset Management, Contractor Certification and Compliance, Leasing, Acquisition and Disposition, and Maintenance.

Legislative Background

Chapter 579 0f 1980 amended the Massachusetts General Laws to create a professional building design and construction agency, Division of Capital Planning and Operation, and an independent Designer Selection Board (DSB) for the selection of design consultants. Chapter 127 of 1999 changed the name of the agency to the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance. Chapter 159 of 2000 amended the General Laws to eliminate the two-step design process.
