D.A. Blodgett Hosts Annual Policymaker’s Breakfast

Essex District Attorney Jonathan W. Blodgett will host two nationally renowned speakers at his annual Policymaker’s Breakfast, who will focus on efforts to combat drug trafficking, and prevention and treatment initiatives for young people.

In addition, District Attorney Blodgett will distribute copies of his newest prevention program, “The Truth About Drugs and Alcohol.”

The breakfast will take place from 8:00 – 9:30 on Tuesday, November 10, at the Peabody Marriott at 8A Centennial Drive.

Arnie Moorin, the National Director of the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Areas (HIDTA), a Deputy Director of the Office of National Drug Control Policy, will address demand reduction initiatives and strategies to combat drug trafficking threats.

Peggy K. Quigg of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services will discuss national trends, as well as drug and alcohol prevention and treatment initiatives for young people.

Essex County Legislators, Judges, Chiefs of Police, Educators, Mayors and Town Managers will be among those at the breakfast.
