Municipal Permit Tracking System
In September 2007, the Interagency Permitting Board granted funds for the Town of Grafton to contract with Massachusetts Permit Regulatory Office and develop a database program to track local land use permits and generate reports, forms and permits. The Municipal Permit Tracking System (MPTS) provides an affordable alternative for cities and towns to comply with best practices as outlined by the Massachusetts Association of Regional Planning Agencies (MAPRA) in the Best Practices Model for Streamlined Local Permitting.
Highlights of MPTS include:
- Database program based in Microsoft Access
- Affordable and flexible technology is easily adapted to meet specific needs
- Links to GIS
- Facilitates workflow and departmental teaming
The Municipal Permit Tracking System (MPTS) and Users Manual is available here to all cities and towns free-of-charge.
