The Massachusetts Office of Business Development is committed to promoting job growth, retaining existing jobs, and stimulating private investment within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The mission of the Massachusetts Office of Business Development is to facilitate simplified, timely access to a host of governmental and non-governmental resources and incentive programs that will help businesses grow faster and stronger in Massachusetts. The state works with other agencies through various other programs to help
businesses obtain financing and funding for expansion, job creation and
retention.
We offer various additional tax incentives designed to help companies
undergo further job growth.
The Massachusetts Office of Business Development helps companies obtain
training grants. This often includes getting the Applicant Assistance Group
from Commonwealth Corporation involved with the company. The state
matches the in-kind private investment made by the company to train employees.
The state offers expedited permitting as well as permitting support in partnership with the Massachusetts Permit Regulatory Office to resolve any issues in the permitting process.
The Massachusetts Office of Business Development works with MassEcon,cities and towns to find sites for companies to locate, relocate or expand within the Commonwealth.
The state offers infrastructure financing programs and grants aimed at job creation and economic development. We work with The Mass Highway Department to offer assistance with issue resolution.
We act as the liaison between companies with exportable products and the Small Business Development Center Export Department. The Massachusetts Office of Business Development and The Massachusetts Office of International Trade and Investment assist foreign companies that want to invest in Massachusetts.
Massachusetts has recently passed 5 new laws to help make the Commonwealth a leader in the renewable energy industry.
