The Division of Apprentice Training (DAT) is the agency responsible for promoting, developing and servicing registered apprenticeship programs in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
The Division of Apprentice Training has developed guidance documents for the public to better understand Section 33 of Chapter 30 of the Acts of 2009, the Governors Economic Recovery Mobilization Act. The following documents are meant to help awarding authorities and bidders comply with the 20% Apprentice Utilization Requirement.
EFFECTIVE JULY 1, 2009 The agreement has been changed to indicate what credit will be granted in OJT hours and what step the apprentice will begin the program in order to prepare for next years renewal.
Due to the recent enactment of legislation changing the Massachusetts General Laws, Apprenticeship Statute, Chapter 23; Section 11W of the Apprentice Statute, the Division of Apprentice Training will be issuing Annual Apprentice ID cards rather than one time Apprentice ID Cards after June 30, 2009.
