Please be advised that additional Treatment Guidelines to be used by health care providers in the treatment of injuries and illnesses pursuant to the provisions of M.G.L. c.152 §13, as most recently amended by St. 1991 c.398 §34, have been endorsed by the Health Care Services Board and adopted by the Commissioner of the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents:

Treatment Guideline Number 14           Knee: Conservative Care

Treatment Guideline Number 15           Knee:   Anterior Cruciate Ligament
                                                                     (ACL) Repair and Patella Tendon
                                                                     Re-Alignment Maquet 
                                                                     Procedure 
                                                                     (Existing Guidelines Numbers 14
                                                                     and 15 Combined)

Copies these guidelines are attached and are also available from the Department’s website: www.mass.gov/dia as well as the Department’s Public Information Office. Any and all further amendments to the Treatment Guidelines will be periodically published and made available from the Massachusetts Department of Industrial Accidents.
