Lieutenant Governor Murray Stops by DOS Booth at Annual Fire Chiefs Conference in Leominster
February 11-13, 2009, staff members from DOS’s On-Site Consultation Program exhibited an informational booth at the annual Fire Chiefs of Massachusetts Conference in Leominster. The intent of the booth was to inform fire chiefs of the availability of the Consultation Program—a free consultation service designed to help private employers recognize and control safety and health hazards at their worksites, improve their safety and health programs, and assist in the training of employees—so that the fire chiefs can pass this information onto the companies that they work with and inspect in their respective municipalities. Staff members also provided information about the new state trenching permit requirements.
