Patrick-Murray Administration to Announce Recovery Funds For Workers In Northampton And Surrounding Communities
Suzanne M. Bump will visit adult training classrooms and meet with
unemployed workers in Northampton and make an announcement relative
to recovery funds for workforce training. The funds are for the Franklin
Hampshire Regional Employment Board, which includes the communities
of Amherst, Ashfield, Athol, Belchertown, Bernardston, Buckland,
Charlemont, Chesterfield, Colrain, Conway, Cummington, Deerfield,
Easthampton, Erving, Gill, Goshen, Granby, Greenfield, Hadley, Hatfield,
Hawley, Heath, Huntington, Leverett, Leyden, Middlefield, Monroe,
Montague, New Salem, Northampton, Northfield, Orange, Pelham,
Petersham, Phillipston, Plainfield, Rowe, Royalston, Shelburne,
Shutesbury, South Hadley, Southampton, Sunderland, Ware, Warwick,
Wendell, Westhampton, Whately, Williamsburg, Worthington.
What: An announcement regarding American Recovery and Reinvestment Act
funding to help Massachusetts workers access training opportunities. In
addition, Secretary Bump will visit training classes in-session at the
Northampton Career Center, as well as meet with unemployed workers.
