Media Advisory: Executive Office Of Labor And Workforce Development And Suffolk University Offers Another Free Ashburton Place Career Seminar

BOSTON - October 5, 2009 - The Massachusetts Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development and Suffolk University will host the second free Ashburton Place Career Seminar designed to help job-seekers cope professionally and personally with the realities of a challenging job market.  

The seminar, which will take place on Friday, November 6, will include an overview of employment trends in the Commonwealth from Suzanne M. Bump, Secretary of Labor and Workforce Development as well as workshops conducted by professionals from the fields of employment law, career services, finance, and psychiatry.  Sessions  will highlight alternatives to traditional job search methods, as well as how to handle stress and manage finances. The seminar will also include a late afternoon session devoted to review and critique of resumes by career and human resource professionals. Please bring copies of your resumes to utilize this session.
