Due to the recent enactment of legislation changing the Massachusetts General Laws, Apprenticeship Statute, Chapter 23; Section 11W of the Apprentice Statute, the Division of Apprentice Training will be issuing Annual Apprentice ID cards rather than one time Apprentice ID Cards after June 30, 2009. -

The Commonwealth of Massachusetts requires 150 hours each year of related technical instruction, which must be mastered by an apprentice in order to successfully complete the program. Apprentices must coordinate with their place of employment prior to enrolling in related training. The listing of related training facilities provided is organized by region.

A Sponsor Verification form is proof that a company has a valid apprentice-training program with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The original form (on state letterhead with a raised seal) is required at the time the bid is submitted, and each form is job-specific.
**REQUESTS MUST BE MADE AT LEAST 7 TO 10 BUSINESS DAYS PRIOR TO THE BID DATE**
The request for sponsor verifications should be added to your pre-bid checklist to ensure timely receipt from DAT. -
