RE: New Service – On line payment of assessment fees

The Department of Industrial Accidents is pleased to announce the following new service option for those entities paying assessment fees to the DIA:
Electronic payment of assessment fees is now possible by utilizing the DIA website and clicking on the “Electronic Payment of Assessment Fee” icon. This will bring the payer to a secure website that the department has established for such payments. The payments will be generated by the Payer’s bank and electronically transmitted (via ACH) to the DIA’s bank account. This new service will save Payer’s time and money (no postage, lost checks, late fee penalty) while creating an exact audit trail of the money flow. This process is available to both self-insured businesses and insurance companies who pay assessments pursuant to M.G.L. c. 152. The website address for electronic assessment payments will also be posted on each Payer's invoice. There is no fee for this service. Please remember that we require payment to both Private and Special funds for any transaction to be complete.
