State Environmental Officials Celebrate Preservation of Critical Habitat in eastern Massachusetts

WHAT: 

Energy and Environmental Affairs Secretary Ian Bowles, officials from the Massachusetts Department of Fish and Game (DFG) and representatives of A.D. Makepeace Company, the world’s largest cranberry grower and the largest private landowner in eastern Massachusetts, will celebrate the completion of an agreement to preserve thousands of acres of critical habitat and open space – and clear the way for an innovative eco-friendly smart growth development project – in southeastern Massachusetts.

DIRECTIONS:

Take Route 3 south to Exit 3 to merge onto Clark Road toward Long Pond. Turn left at Long Pond Road and continue for about a mile and a half. Bear right at Herring Way, bear right again onto Halfway Pond Road. Take a left onto Wareham Road. The event site is on the right, just south of the power line (before the pavement ends). There will be a tent set up on the property that is adjacent to 94 Wareham Road.
