Agricultural Resources Commissioner Visits Holyoke Farmers' Market to Highlight the Value of Buying Local

Stop is part of summer-long tour of Bay State Farmers' Markets

WHAT:

Department of Agricultural Resources (DAR) Commissioner Scott Soares will visit the Holyoke Farmers’ Market on High Street on Thursday July 23 to showcase a successful Massachusetts Farmers’ Market. The visit will include a brief speaking program and tour of the market, along with Holyoke Mayor Michael Sullivan. DAR officials will also have information on hand regarding the DAR’s “Ag-Tag” license plate campaign. Proceeds from the license plate sales will support agricultural organizations throughout the Commonwealth.
