Agricultural Resources Commissioner Visits Somerville/Davis Square Farmers' Market to Highlight the Value of Buying Local

Stop is part of summer-long tour of Bay State Farmers' Markets

WHAT:

Department of Agricultural Resources (DAR) Commissioner Scott Soares will visit Somerville’s Davis Square Farmers’ Market tomorrow to showcase a successful Massachusetts farmers’ market. The visit will include a brief speaking program and tour of the market. DAR officials will also have information on hand regarding the Department’s “Ag-Tag” license plate campaign. Proceeds from the license plate sales will support agricultural organizations throughout the Commonwealth.
