Special services are available to help low-income customers reduce their energy costs. The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (Fuel Assistance) helps eligible households to pay winter heating bills. Electric and gas utilities fund local community agencies to deliver energy efficiency services to qualifying low-income households. Through these programs and federally funded programs, customers may be eligible for appliance education and energy efficiency measures. These services may include refrigerator replacement, new insulation or other whole house weatherization services. Homeowners and renters are eligible.
