Wind Energy Model Zoning By-Law (2009)
In October 2009, the Massachusetts Department of Energy Resources and Executive Office of Environmental Affairs developed a new model bylaw to help cities and towns establish reasonable zoning standards for wind power development and facilitate projects. The Wind Model Zoning Bylaw This model zoning bylaw also provides as-of-right siting, which is required for cities and towns to qualify as a Green Community.
