  • United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
    EPA is challenging all New England communities to save money and reduce air pollution by assessing their energy use, taking action to improve energy efficiency, and seeking out renewable energy choices, and offers tools to help communities get there.

  • ICLEI
    Local Governments for Sustainability is membership association of local governments that have made a commitment to sustainable development. ICLEI's mission is to build, serve, and drive a movement of local governments to advance deep reductions in greenhouse gas emissions and achieve tangible improvements in local sustainability, and offers tools to help communities get there.

  • Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust
    The Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust offers a wide range of programs to support the development of renewables in the Commonwealth, including grant programs for photovoltaic, wind, biomass and hydro technologies. Municipalities can access these funding opportunities for renewable energy projects in their communities.

  • MA Clean Cities Coalition
    A program that works to encourage the use of alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) with the help of local businesses, organizations, and numerous state and federal agencies.

Local Utility Companies

All of the utility companies/municipal aggregators in the Commonwealth have energy efficiency programs for municipalities, that include audits and rebate programs. Below is the contact information for these programs.
