Family Support Programs
EEC provides education, training, early literacy and parenting services through two family support programs, the Massachusetts Family Network program and the Parent-Child Home Program. These programs are offered by lead agencies around the state, in collaboration with local parent coalitions.

This national model provides home-based literacy and parenting guidance, serving families who are low-income and/or educationally at risk. PCHP emphasizes parent-child verbal interaction critical to early brain development.

The Massachusetts Family Network (MFN) is a state-funded, family education and support program for families with children prenatal through age three.

Publications for parents released by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). Topics include the stages of child development (from birth to 14 years), suggestions for fun, low-cost family activities, child assessment practices, resources, web links and more.
