Notice of Proposed Amendment of Regulations

Notice is here by given that the Department of Children and Families proposes to amend its Service Plan and Case Review regulations under the authority of G.L. c. 18B § 7 and G.L. c. 119 §37, and pursuant to M.G.L. c. 30A, §3.

The proposed amendments:

1. Modify the agency service plan goals to be consistent with changes made by Chapter 176 of the Acts of 2008 and federal law. 
2. Eliminate an area based case review process that is no longer utilized by the agency. 
3. Eliminate references to single service cases which are no longer provided by the Department.
4. Modify permanency hearing requirements to be consistent with changes to state and federal law.
5. Correct statutory references as a result of Chapter 176 of the Acts of 2008.
