Rural Domestic Violence and Child Victimization Project

This project funds three battered women's programs in rural areas of Western Massachusetts to educate the public and professionals about domestic violence and to provide direct services and advocacy to women experiencing domestic violence and their children who witness the abuse.

The project has developed and implemented innovative strategies that draw on the unique characteristics and resources of rural communities to increase awareness and understanding of domestic violence and to prevent its occurrence.
