Viral isolates that have been confirmed as influenza A (H1N1) 2009 virus must be shipped as Category A "Infectious Substances, affecting Humans" and assigned to UN2814.
However all primary clinical specimens being submitted for influenza testing may still be shipped as "Biological Substance, Category B" and assigned to UN3373.
