State Police Investigate Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Conifer Hill Drive in Danvers
Preliminary investigation by Sergeant Mario Monzon indicates that 56-year-old Linda Robinson of Beverly was operating a 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Conifer Hill Drive when she came to a stop on the right side of the road and exited her vehicle. While standing outside her vehicle on the driver's side, Robinson was struck by a 2003 Cadillac Escalade operated by 29-year-old Thomas Lantych of Danvers. Robinson was transported by ambulance to Beverly Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased. Lantych was uninjured in the crash.
This crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the Essex County State Police Detective Unit, the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section. The Danvers Fire Department, Danvers Police Department, and MassHighway assisted Troopers at the scene.
During the crash investigation, Conifer Hill Drive remained open, with traffic being diverted around the crash scene.
