Revisions to Regulations

STATE ETHICS COMMISSION IS REVISING REGULATIONS

The State Ethics Commission is revising its regulation concerning exemptions from the conflict of interest law, 930 C.M.R. Section 5.00.  Changes will be made to the provisions concerning gifts, as directed by the July 1, 2009 ethics reform act, and travel, and several new exemptions may be created.

We are requesting comments on the attached proposed draft, (Proposed Draft ).  This draft predates the July 1, 2009 ethics reform act, and will be revised as directed by that act.  Comments can be emailed to Deirdre Roney, General Counsel, at droney@eth.state.ma.us or call Ms. Roney at (617) 371-9500.
