February/March 2009 - Keeping to his commitment to be governor of the whole state, Governor Deval Patrick’s Western Massachusetts Office will begin holding public office hours at locations throughout Berkshire, Franklin, Hampden and Hampshire counties. Led by Elizabeth Cardona, director of the Governor’s Western Massachusetts Office, these office hours and open forums offer citizens another tool to interact with their state government where they live, while gaining a deeper understanding of Governor Patrick’s key initiatives and the role of state agencies.
Agency commissioners and other officials will begin hosting office hours and open forums once a week, starting on Thursday, February 5th through the month of April. Barbara Leadholm, Commissioner of the Department of Mental Health will host the first forum at Western New England College.
