- Later this evening, Governor Patrick will attend the Eastern States Inaugural Ball at Union Station in Washington, D.C.

Last night, the Governor served as co-master of ceremonies for a bipartisan dinner honoring Senator John McCain. Yesterday, the Governor and the First Lady both joined volunteers at Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium for a community service project to wrap thousands of care packages and write letters to troops overseas.

- Answering the Call to Service– Kicking off a weekend of service in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr., Governor Patrick joined hundreds of volunteers from Commonwealth Corps, YouthBuild Boston and the Red Sox Foundation on Saturday and helped to spruce up well-worn parts of Roxbury Community College. Yesterday, Governor Patrick took part in a National Day of Service event at RFK Memorial Stadium in Washington, D.C. Volunteers put together care packages for soldiers serving overseas. “Martin Luther King, Jr. believed that every individual can make a difference,” said Governor Patrick. “Let us honor his memory by seeing what he saw in us – the power to give back and the power to change people’s lives for the better.”

- Sharing the Governor’s Vision for the Future– On the heels of Governor Patrick’s State of the Commonwealth Address last Thursday, members of his cabinet crisscrossed the state Friday to discuss the Patrick-Murray Administration’s vision for the Commonwealth’s future and agenda on transportation, health and human services, economic development, energy and environmental affairs and other critical issues.

- Governor Patrick traveled to Washington, D.C. on Sunday to take part in the inauguration of President Barack Obama. He attended the Inaugural Kick-Off Concert at the Lincoln Memorial on Sunday afternoon. He also took part in the Massachusetts Democratic Party Dinner later that evening.
- On Monday, Governor Patrick and the First Lady participated in “Renewing America Together,” a National Service event at RFK Memorial Stadium.
- Governor Patrick served as master of ceremonies at a bi-partisan dinner in honor of Senator John McCain on Monday evening.
