Winners of poster contest announced
The winners of the Commonwealth's 2009 Kids Safe Online Cyber Security Awareness Poster Contest were announced last week. The Grand Prize winner belongs to a student named Brooke from the Martin Elementary School in North Attleboro (winning artwork shown left).
Brooke's entry was one of the thirteen winning entries that were selected from over 200 submissions received from 4th and 5th graders across the Commonwealth. These students will be formally recognized in a ceremony as part of National Cyber Security Month in October.
The Commonwealth's top three entries - Grand Prize winner Brooke, Demba from the Hosmer School in Watertown, and Daniel from the Kilmer School in West Roxbury, have been entered as the Massachusetts representatives in the national contest administered by the Multi-State Information Sharing and Analysis Center (MS-ISAC). The 12 winners of the national contest will have their artwork included in the 2010 MS-ISAC Cyber Security Calendar.
