Joe Lazzaro Joins ITD
I am pleased to announce that Joseph Lazzaro has joined the Application Services Group. Joe joined us on May 30, 2006 as Manager of Assistive Technology and will report directly to me. He will be located on the 16th floor, two offices down from me.
Joe brings with him over 20 years experience working in the assistive technology field, having spent the last 18 years as Project Director with the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind. He is a recognized authority on adaptive technology, having published three textbooks and numerous magazine articles and white papers on the subject. In addition, Joe has done many speaking engagements and public interviews on adaptive technology and accessibility techniques.
In his new position Joe will play a pivotal role in the evaluation and implementation of assistive technologies within ITD. He will also be providing oversight to assure consideration of accessibility standards in all ITD initiatives.
We are indeed fortunate to have Joe join our group.
