Commonwealth Communities Link Requests
Requests for links to Community and public school websites are welcome. Please use the form below to request a link. The following are the policies and criteria that we use in providing links.
"Official" websites
Any website with a domain name in the form ci.[name].ma.us or town.[name].ma.us is automatically designated as an official website. Municipalities have traditionally registered their official websites in the .US domain, while the .GOV domain was reserved for federal and state government. The U.S. General Services Administration recently announced that the .GOV domain would be available to local governmental units. This was particularly good news given recent developments that allow a .US domain name to be registered by non-governmental entities. For guidance, please see Municipal Domain Name Guidance.
If your website is officially sponsored by the city or town, but does not have a local government .US domain name, or .GOV domain, you will need to notify us in writing on city/town letterhead to be given the designation "official". Please send these requests to:

We will provide links to specific city/town departments only if there is no official city/town website that includes links to them.
Public school websites
We are happy to include links to public school district websites. If the district does not have a website, we will post links to individual schools in that district.
