Why use social bookmarks?
- Social bookmarks allow you to access your bookmarks from any computer as long as you have an internet connection. When you switch computers, you still have your bookmarks!
- Social bookmarks let you organize your bookmarks using keywords ("tags") rather than traditional folders.
- Users can view their bookmarks chronologically, by tag names, or by searching.
- Users can keep bookmarks private. Most social bookmark services give you the option to keep some or all of your bookmarks visible only to you.
- Social bookmarks let you share your public bookmarks with others.
- Some social bookmark services automatically save copies of the pages you bookmark. This means you will still be able to access the content even if the original page moves or is taken offline.
- Many social bookmark services provide RSS feeds.
