The Commonwealth's first Citizens' Update on the impact and progress of ARRA funding here in Massachusetts. The federal recovery program requires unprecedented levels of transparency and accountability in the use of funds, and Governor Patrick's administration has committed to going above and beyond federal requirements. This Update is part of that effort.

In the pages following, facts on recovery funds awarded to and expended by state agencies are presented. As you will see, many programs have been awarded significant funding. All programs require procedures to be followed in the expenditure of these funds. Over the summer and into the fall, agencies have begun this process. With these processes in place and the flow of federal funds increasing, you can ex expect the percentage of funds expended to increase dramatically over the next few months.
