Women Veterans’ Network to Host First Statewide Conference for Women Veterans

HOLYOKE, MA — The Women Veterans’ Network of the Massachusetts Department of Veterans’ Services will sponsor the first annual “Massachusetts Conference for Women Veterans” on Saturday, June 27 in Holyoke. The conference will provide an opportunity for women veterans to discuss state and federal benefits for which they may be eligible and learn more about how to cope with PTSD symptoms. Attendees will learn how to get involved with veterans’ organizations and will make connections with other women veterans.

“We hope women veterans will take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to make connections, gain knowledge, and take charge by attending the first statewide Conference for Women Veterans,” said Heidi Kruckenberg, Director of the Women Veterans’ Network.

The agenda will include workshops, exhibits and speakers. The keynote address will be given by Lydia Rodriguez, of West Springfield who was deployed to Kuwait with the National Guard in 2003.
