Green Jobs and Training Grants
The Department of Veterans' Services has been awarded three DOL/VETS grants for Fiscal Year 2010. They provide training, job placement, housing assistance, other supportive services, and information resources to eligible veterans. The two HVRP (Homeless Veterans' Reintegration Program) grants serve homeless veterans in the South Shore area and the VWIP (Veterans' Workforce Investment Program) grant provides Green training and employment-finding assistance to veterans residing in the Boston-metro/I-495 region. In addition there are currently four HVRP and an additional VWIP grant in the state, administered by DOL/VETS through other grantees.

The VOICE program was funded by the Department of Labor through 2006. It created a searchable resource directory and a list of "veteran friendly" employers.
