On November 4, 2008, the voters of the Commonwealth enacted Statewide Ballot Initiative Question 2, An Act Establishing a Sensible State Marihuana Policy. The election results were certified by the Governor’s Council on December 3, 2008. Therefore, the Act goes into effect on January 2, 2009.
