The Office of the Massachusetts Attorney General (AGO) is pleased to announce the opportunity for funding for Face to Face Mediation Programs (“FTFMPs”). Funding is available under the Local Consumer Aid Fund, created by M. G.L. c. 12, § 11G. Grants will be awarded for the period of July 1, 2016 to June 30, 2017, for Fiscal Year 2017. Eligible grantees include programs that attempt to resolve consumer problems through mediation, pursuant to M.G.L. c. 233, §23c. Applications will be accepted from 501(c) 3 organizations and local governmental agencies: i.e. District Attorney's Office, Mayor's Office, Town Office of Elder Affairs, or a colleges or universities. Applicants must accept and implement in full the Local Consumer Aid Fund Fiscal Year 2017 Standards and Responsibilities.
Letter of Intent: Organizations seeking funding should submit a letter of intent to apply no later than 4:00 p.m. on April 8, 2016. This letter must be filled out using our grant portal. Submitting this letter is a requirement in order to receive funding. Please write the subject line as "Letter of Intent for FTFMP Grant FY17".
Grant Proposal Submission: The AGO utilizes a grant management software system which allows for organizations to submit their grant application online. Please allow for sufficient time to register online and complete the application by the deadline.
