Energy Roundtables Report
Following the 2008 Winter Heating and Energy Roundtables, the AGO compiled and released a report to summarize the findings. The report highlights innovative and practical approaches and programs in place across the state to address the effects of high energy costs, and makes recommendations for improving the energy landscape in Massachusetts.
The report includes: various factors that contribute to the high cost of energy, noting in particular the current economic downturn and the challenges for residents, municipalities, and the business community; various public health and safety concerns associated with the increasing cost of home heating; dealing with the energy crisis from a business perspective, noting cost-cutting strategies for businesses; and energy saving and heating assistance resources.
