Wage and hour enforcement, as well as enforcement of child labor laws, is a priority for the Attorney General's Office as we work to ensure that wage laws are upheld throughout the state.
As of January 1, 2015, the minimum wage in Massachusetts is $9.00 per hour ( M.G.L. c. 151, s. 1 and 2). All employers who have employees subject to the minimum wage are required to hang the wage and hour poster, updated in January 2015, in the workplace, in locations such as lunch rooms, lobbies, human resources offices, or anywhere else that employees congregate regularly.
