When We Receive Your Complaint
It is likely that an investigator from the Fair Labor Division will contact you to discuss the complaint prior to taking action, if any, against an employer.
The Attorney General's Office will determine what course of action to take based on the information you provide and its own investigation. Such action may include:
- Issuing a citation against the employer for violation of the child labor laws;
- Seeking criminal charges against the employer for violation of the child labor laws;
- Sending a written warning to the employer regarding the child labor laws.
