Statement of Attorney General Martha Coakley on TSA’s Decision to Delay Rule Change to Allow Pocket Knives on Planes

Attorney General Martha Coakley today released the following statement in response to the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA) recent decision to delay the rule change to allow passengers to carry small pocket knives and other previously prohibited items onboard airplanes:

“We are glad that the TSA has delayed lifting the ban on knives and other prohibited items onboard airplanes. We are steadfast in our belief that those items should remain banned in order to better protect travelers across the country.” – Attorney General Martha Coakley
