Hosted by Attorney General Coakley, the first episode of AGTV focuses on the topic of cyber security, and specifically different types of online and email fraud. The Attorney General's three guests are Special Agent John MacKinnon of Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE), part of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security; David Papargiris, the director of the Attorney General's computer forensics lab and a former police officer; and Assistant Attorney General Thomas Ralph, Chief of the Attorney General's Cyber Crime Division. The guests discussed such issues as phishing emails, malware, spyware, and online shopping and banking, offering advice to viewers on how to determine whether an email or website is fraudulent, and steps that individuals can take to ensure that their personal computers and online transactions are secure. They also discussed the unique challenges law enforcement face in investigating fraud committed using the Internet.
