Tom Clark

Clarkdale Fruit Farm, Deerfield

Tom Clark is a full-time third-generation farmer in Deerfield, Mass., where he grows a wide variety of fruit which he sells retail and at farmers' markets. He is a graduate of the Deerfield Academy and Syracuse University.

Tom serves on the Board of Directors for the Massachusetts Fruit Growers Association and is a trustee of the Horticultural Research Fund at the University of Massachusetts.

Clarkdale Orchards has participated in a number of MDAR programs including the "Massachusetts grown...and fresher!" marketing program, the Farmers' Market Coupon program, Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and farmland preservation projects.

Tom is also active in his town government serving on the board of selectmen, the school committee, the finance committee and the fire department.
