Harriet and James Gilman

Kelso Homestead Farm, Huntington

Harriet and James Gilman own and operate Kelso Homestead Farm, a blueberry farm in the scenic town of Huntington, Mass. Continuously operated by Harriet's family since 1780, Kelso Homestead Farm is one of the commonwealth's Century Farms. James Gilman is a UMass graduate and a retired U.S. Army colonel. The Gilmans will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary in 2003. They say that they rely on MDAR for information and advice on marketing, regulations and farm management.
