Exhibitor Information

The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) each year invites Massachusetts organizations and businesses to apply for the purpose of showcasing Massachusetts agriculture, commerce, culture, food or tourism through informational, educational, promotional and retail exhibits in the Massachusetts Building during the Eastern States Exposition (the Big E) located in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Each year the 17 day fair falls on the last two weeks of September. The 2009 Big E runs from Friday, September 18 - October 4th.

1. Deadline for Applications: Friday, May 8, 2009 at 4 PM
2. New Applicant Presentation Day: Wednesday, May 20, 2009, 10 AM to 12 M at the Massachusetts Building
3. Announcement of 2009 Massachusetts Building Exhibitors: Friday, June 12, 2009
4. Massachusetts Building Exhibitor Meeting: Thursday, July 23, 2009, 10 AM in the Massachusetts Building
5. Building Exhibitors contracts finalized and submitted to the Department: Friday, August 21, 2009
6. MA Building open for Set-Up: Beginning Monday, August 31, 2009.
   • Weekdays: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM (closed Labor Day)
   • Weekend: September 12 & 13 BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, 8 AM – 4 PM
7. Opening Day: Friday, September 18, 2009, 10AM – 9PM
8. Closing Day Sunday, October 4, 2009
9. Clean-up Day Monday, October 5, 2009
