Exhibitor Information

The Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources (MDAR) each year invites Massachusetts organizations and businesses to apply for the purpose of showcasing Massachusetts agriculture, commerce, culture, food or tourism through informational, educational, promotional and retail exhibits in the Massachusetts Building during the Eastern States Exposition (the Big E) located in West Springfield, Massachusetts. Each year the 17 day fair falls on the last two weeks of September. The 2009 Big E runs from Friday, September 18 - October 4th.

2010 Dates

1. Applications available: Early 2010
2. Deadline for Applications: 4pm, Friday, May 7, 2010
3. New Applicant Presentation Day: Friday, May 21, 2010, 10 AM to 12 M at the MA Building
4. Announcement of 2010 Massachusetts Building Exhibitors: Friday, June 11, 2010
5. Massachusetts Building Exhibitor Meeting: Thursday, July 22, 2009, 10 AM in the MA Building
6. Building Exhibitors contracts finalized and submitted to the Department: Friday, August 20, 2010
7. MA Building open for Set-Up: Beginning Monday, August 30, 2010.
   • Weekdays: Monday – Friday, 8 AM – 4 PM (closed Labor Day)
   • Weekend: September 12 & 13 BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, 8 AM – 4 PM
8. Opening Day: Friday, September 17, 2010, 10AM – 9PM
9. Closing Day Sunday, October 3, 2010
10. Clean-up Day Monday, October 4, 2010
