Commercial Feed & Pet Food Registration
 The Department of Agricultural Resources registers both pet foods distributed or manufactured in Massachusetts under 330 CMR 13.00 and Commercial Feeds manufactured, sold, or distributed in the Commonwealth under 330 CMR 14.00.
There is an annual registration fee of $100.00 per product and a late fee
of $25.00 per product if firms do not register by February 1st.
No tonnage fees are charged on commercial feed or pet food.
PET FOOD RECALL INFORMATION The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has launched a website regarding recalls in petfeed. Go to www.fda.com and click on petfood recalls. This site will show you the list of products that have been recalled. Current petfood recall information will be displayed on the MDAR website
while it is relevant.
