Commercial Feed & Pet Food Registration

The Department of Agricultural Resources registers both pet foods distributed or manufactured in Massachusetts under 330 CMR 13.00 and Commercial Feeds manufactured, sold, or distributed in the Commonwealth under 330 CMR 14.00.

The registration fee is $100 per product for both feed and pet food. The registration feed for commercial feed is $100 per product.

No tonnage fees are charged on commercial feed or pet food.

FDA has launched a new website regarding the ongoing pet food investigation.  You may log on at www.fda.gov/consumer/updates/petfoodrecallup.  In addition, FDA has developed a new web page and e-newsletter to keep consumers better informed.  The web page 'Consumer Health Information for You and Your Family' (www.fda.gov/coonsumer), provides comprehensive and timely consumer information.  A free monthly e-newsletter, 'FDA Consumer Health Information' (www.fda.gov/consumer/consumernews.html) will alert consumers to content contained on the page."
