Export Development
 The Department works with growers and food processors to help them develop domestic and international markets through counseling, technical assistance, and referrals. As a part of this process, the Department coordinates market research and promotion efforts with other governmental agencies and an extensive group of agricultural trade officers abroad. Offerings include the Market Access Program, which allows producers to offset promotional costs in export markets by 50 percent.

Announcement : Accepting Applications for 2010 Branded Program !
Massachusetts Department of Agricultural Resources in collaboration with Food Export Northeast offers the Branded Program, which is a cost-share funding program that supports the promotion of branded and private label food and agricultural products in foreign markets. Participant companies receive 50% cost reimbursement for a wide variety of eligible international marketing and promotional activities.
Your first step, if you're interested in applying, is to officially determine if your company is eligible. To do this, you'll need to submit a Branded Program Pre-Qualification Worksheet (PDF). Please go to www.brandedprogram.org and register as a first time user / log-in and you can fill the application online. A $250 application fee payable to our organization is due with application.
