Goods & Services reporting for Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) and Small Business Purchasing (SBPP) FY2013
Starting in FY2013, the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO) is providing a comprehensive report for the Supplier Diversity Program (SDP) and the Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP). This comprehensive quarterly report provides the expenditure totals for all Executive Departments spending with SDO certified vendors. This report tracks state payments to Minority Business Enterprises (MBE), Women Business Enterprises (WBE), and Small Business Purchasing Program (SBPP) participants on a quarterly basis and compares that spending against benchmarks. The report includes each department’s benchmark for spending with MBE, WBE, and SBPP firms; the actual quarterly expenditures for FY2013; and the year to date variance of actual spending is compared to the benchmark shown in dollars as well as a percentage of the benchmark. The FY2013 departmental goals are a percentage of the total discretionary budget as follows: MBE is 6%, WBE is 12%, and SBPP is 2.5%. For FY2013, we have included a dashboard page to review Executive Branch spending and benchmark attainment by Secretariat. Further, this FY2013 report sets out spending for Minority Women Business Enterprises (M/WBE) firms on their own report pages; there is not a separate benchmark for spending with M/WBE firms and the spend is also reported equally in the MBE and WBE report pages. The SBPP program enjoys an overlap between some MBE and WBE firms who are also SBPP participants. In order to track all SBPP spend as well as track the spend with SBPP vendors who may also be captured in MBE or WBE categories we provide two tallies, one is the breakdown of all SBPP participants and the second is the breakout for those who are also SDO certified as MBE or WBE.
