State Certification Renewal
The SDO will send out reminder letters to companies whose time for renewal is approaching. These letters detail the documentation the company is required to submit in order to retain their certified status. State MBE , WBE and NPO certification must be renewed every two years. State Re-Certification
State re-certification is a complete overview of your business that occurs every six (6) years. It is designed to ensure that your firm still performs the original services it sought to provide and to ensure that your firm continues to meet all necessary regulatory criteria.
SDO staff will notify you when your firm is due for re-certification and what documents are needed for your six year substantive review. -
Appeals Process
Any firm initially denied certification or decertified for failure to meet a state certification criteria may appeal the SDO's decision in writing within ten (10) business days.
