Any firm initially denied certification or decertified for failure to meet a state certification criteria may appeal the SDO's decision in writing within ten (10) business days of the initial SDO determination by filing written notice of appeal with the SDO at the address below:

Applicants will be given an opportunity to be heard by an impartial appellate board during an informal fair hearing governed by 425 CMR §2.02(1) et seq. LINK and 8.01 CMR §1.02 and the applicable sections of M.G.L. c. 30A.
All SDO appellate decisions will be made as soon as administratively feasible. All applicants will be notified in writing of the appeals board's decision.
