April 8 - May 6, 2015

Open enrollment gives you the opportunity to enroll in benefits if you are GIC eligible. Retirees of MBTA joining the GIC will receive their guide through their benefits office.

GIC Benefit Decision Guide

During open enrollment, take the opportunity to think about what you and your family need in the way of health care and other benefits. Once you choose a health plan, you cannot change plans until the next annual enrollment, unless you move out of your health plan's service area.

Use the many tools on this site, your Benefit Decision Guide, and the GIC health fairs to become informed about your options.

Retirees and Survivors of new entities joining the GIC may:

  • Enroll in basic life and health insurance
  • Enroll in the GIC Retiree Dental Plan

Enrollment forms and required documentation must be submitted to your agency's GIC benefits coordinator no later than May 6, 2015.
